St. Mary's Parish Renovations

Important Notice to St. Mary’s Parishioners

As announced at our Saturday and Sunday Masses, St. Mary’s Church will be temporarily closing this May as our long‑awaited lighting and painting project begins.

  • The final weekend Masses at St. Mary’s Church will be celebrated on May 16 & 17.
  • Beginning the weekend of May 23 & 24, all weekend Masses will be held directly across the street at Bay Path University in Carr Hall. MAP

Weekend Mass Schedule (unchanged):

  • Saturday: 4:00 pm and 5:30 pm
  • Sunday: 8:00 am, 9:30 am, and 11:00 am

There will be ample signage at Bay Path University directing parishioners where to park and enter the campus. Members of our Knights of Columbus will also be stationed at the entrance to assist everyone arriving for Mass. The campus entrance is directly across from Hopkins Place.

We are especially grateful that Carr Hall has no stairs and is fully air‑conditioned, which will be a great blessing as summer approaches.

Daily Mass & Parish Activities

  • Daily Mass will be celebrated in the Parish Center, which will be arranged as a chapel.
  • Other parish activities—such as Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament (Tuesdays and First Fridays), the Flame of Love Prayer Group, Baptisms, and more—will continue there as well.
  • Funerals will be held at St. Michael’s Church in East Longmeadow or at another local church with the pastor’s permission.

Project Timeline

The renovation project is expected to be completed during the first week of August. We look forward to celebrating our first weekend Masses back in our newly painted church on August 8 & 9.

We extend our sincere thanks to Bay Path University President Sandra Doran for graciously allowing us the use of Carr Hall at no cost to the parish.

As with any major project, unexpected issues may arise, but we will address them one day at a time. If you have any questions regarding weekend Mass, daily Mass, or the renovation project, please contact the parish office at (413) 567‑3124.

Thank you for your patience, support, and continued faithfulness to St. Mary’s Church. Please keep this important parish project—and all those working on it—in your daily prayers.

Your friend and pastor,

Father C.J.
