Father CJ's Weekly Update
September 26, 2024
Dear St. Mary’s Parishioners,
I hope this Eblast finds you well. Just a few items to share with you:
- Faith Formation Classes begin this Sunday, September 29th. Although we are past the signup deadline, this year we are waiving the late fee in hopes that more families register asap. Visit our website for details.
- Sunday September 29th is the 5th Sunday of the Month: The Knights will lead the Rosary after the 9:30am Mass. (*please note this time change)
- This Sunday, September 29th, is another opportunity to donate to the Sunshine Crafts for Kids.
- Beacon of Faith- Commitment Weekend September 28/29th: As your pastor, my personal goal is that at least 500 families will donate something to the campaign. Each and every gift whether it be $5 or $500 is greatly appreciated and will go towards the painting of the interior of our church as well as upgrading the interior lighting and other projects on our property. This weekend, September 28th- 29th , is Commitment Weekend. We hope to collect donations from the majority of our parish family for the final phase of this campaign.
- Voting on the Painting of the Interior of the Church: October 5-13th, Registered Parishioners (one vote per family) will have an opportunity to cast a vote for their preferred color choice. The 3 potential color schemes will be present in Church. You may vote by using the QR Code on the poster or call the office at 567-3124 to submit your vote.
- Youth Choir to begin again! If you are interested in singing at the 9:30am Sunday Mass, please let us know. Rehearsal is at 9am, prior to the start of Mass. We are also seeking a parent volunteer/s to supervise during rehearsal. More information on how to sign-up on our website is forthcoming. Contact the parish office with questions at parishoffice@stmarylong.org
- CYO Basketball Registration Opens October 1st: Registration will run from Oct. 1-31st. See attachment for details or visit: www.stmarylong.org/CYO. Questions? Email: cyo@stmaryslongmeadow.org
Have a Blessed Day,
